COMPARE AND CONTRAST

A. Compare
Tell what is the same about two or more things or identify similarities between subjects.

B. Contrast
Tell what is the real comparison of an object or explain ways in wich they are different.

C. Double Bubble Maps
Bubble maps help students define qualities so they begin to write descriptive passages. they focus on using adjactives to discribe the item in the center of the maps.

Example :

Rounded Rectangle: Silvery White Black
Alkali Metal Nonmetalic
Paramagnetic Diamagnetic

    1. To make it easier for us to compare between two things to compare. With a double bubble map also makes it easy for us and clarifies the difference from what is compared.

    1. The intention is to explain the properties of the comparable object. Such as the nature of lithium, which has a white silvery color, while the carbon has a black color, then if lithium has alkali metal properties, while carbon has non-metallic properties. So here it is meant to clarify its nature.
      thanks

    1. advantage of lithium is :
      1. Pure lithium metal is used in lithium ion batteries, which can be recharged, and this metal is also used as an alloy with aluminum, copper, manganese, and cadmium to make the spare parts of high-performance aircraft.
      2. Lithium is also used in nuclear reactors, for example as a coolant in a nuclear reactor.
      3. Lithium carbonate is used as a drug to stabilize mood.
      4. Lithium chloride and bromide are used as desiccants.
      5. Lithium stearate is used as a lubricant of various types and high temperature.

    1. Based on the sources I read, there are several ways to compare elements:
      1.Bubble Sort
      2.Selection Sort
      3.Insertion Sort
      4.Shell Sort
      5.Merge Sort
      6.Radix Sort

  6. What's interesting about lithium and carbon?

    Balasan
    1. Carbon is the basis for organic chemistry, as happens in all living organisms.
Non-metallic carbon that can bond with itself and many other chemical elements.
Carbon elements can form the most complicated substance of diamond.

Lithium is one of the most beneficial metals. The two dominant uses of this element are in the production of glass, ceramics and in the production of aluminum.
These metals also have important benefits for human life.

  7. A simple way to distinguish lithium and carbon?

    BalasHapus

  8. Hi intan,
I want to ask you, what is functions of double bubble map?

    BalasHapus
